Things to Do

From exploring the local museums to taking a scenic hike, there is no shortage of things to do in Summit.  For history buffs, the Summit Historical Society offers guided tours of downtown Summit with highlights of significant landmarks, including the Reeves-Reed Arboretum.

 

For those who prefer the great outdoors, Summit has miles of hiking and biking trails winding through forests and meadows. Nature lovers will especially enjoy the scenic walking trails. In the winter months, ice skating and sledding are popular past times. Several parks offer shoveled paths for walking and cross-country skiing.

 

The town also hosts many events, including a Farmers Market and popular annual festivals such as Arts and Cars, Summit Arts Festival, and the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony.  Summit Street Sounds presents live music downtown every Friday in September and October.
